Scientific title | |
Study hypothesis | To determine the feasibility of implementing a system of touch screen data collection. |
Ethics approval(s) | Not provided at time of registration |
Condition | Musculoskeletal Diseases: Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) |
Intervention | Feasibility study using two randomly assigned groups of patients. Randomisation into 2 groups completing 3 RA validated self assessments (self assess joints, rating scale for pain HAQ, global assessment of disease activity) using a touch screen computer and a final nurse led joint assessment blinded to patients' own assessments. A second group completing the same tests but in a different order followed by the nurse assessment. Both patients groups will evaluate satisfaction and ease of use of the touch screen. |
Intervention type | Other |
Primary outcome measure | The proportion of patients who would be willing to complete the touch screen in future clinic visits (acceptability, reliability of scores comparison of nurse versus patient assessments). |
Secondary outcome measures | Not provided at time of registration |
